Mountshannon

Mountshannon is another very popular harbour and has extra floating jetties to accommodate more boats. It is a good size with berths along the wall as well as on the jetties. The village has pubs, restaurants and a shop with basic groceries, as well as a petrol station with a small supermarket attached. Boat trips to Iniscealtra (Holy Island) are available from Mountshannon, or you could anchor off it yourself and row to the island. It is a beautiful old religious settlement and is well worth a visit.
